Uses

Tamoxifine is used for treating breast cancer that has spread to other sites in the body. It is also used along with other medicines to treat other types of breast cancer.


Active Ingredients: tamoxifen citrate

Inactive Ingredients: carboxymethylcellulose calcium, magnesium stearate, mannitol and starch.

Dosage and Forms

Tamoxifine comes in tablets for oral administration.

Tamoxifine is usually prescribed as a single daily dose to be taken at the same time every day with or without food. The daily dosage depends on your medical condition, age, body weight, and response to. Tamoxifine is commonly prescribed for five years.

Tamoxifine taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of Tamoxifine, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of Tamoxifine overdose may include: dizziness, overactive reflexes, tremor, and unsteady gait.

Contraindications and Precautions
